Chris's Story
Life
After graduating high school in Albuquerque, I graduated in 1990 from University of New Mexico with a degree in trombone performance. Immediately following, I graduated with my Masters in Music (1992) from New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. I then freelanced a bit in the Baltimore/Washington, DC area for a couple of years. After that, I was working in the Palm Beach Opera orchestra for a year before deciding to get my doctorate in music at University of North Texas, which I completed in 2002. I...Expand for more
taught at the Univ. of Texas-Pan American from 1999-2003 and at Ouachita Baptist Univ. (Arkansas) from 2003-2004. Since 2004, I have been on the faculty at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia, where I teach music theory & ear training, conduct the jazz ensemble, and teach private trombone lessons. It is a fine fit since my wife is originally from Lynchburg.
Lori (Rundle) and I were married in 1995 and have three great kids: Noah (b. October, 2001), Kristin (b. September, 2003), and Ben (b. December, 2005).
