Chris's Story
Life
Having grown up in San Diego and studying at the U.S. Naval Academy, I took a commission in the Marine Corps in '96. I spent 1996 working on a Masters degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University, after which I spent six months in Quantico, VA learning how to be an infantry officer. '99. I lived in Whidbey Island, WA for a year learning the ins and outs of the EA-6B Prowler, my aircraft. I spent three years in North Carolina, though I spent a year of that time deployed overseas to Japan and Saudi Arabia, where I flew missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I'm now living in Monterey, CA where I'm studying East Asian Security Affairs and Mandarin Chinese as I prepare to live abroad in China in 2006.
