Chris's Story
Hello to Everyone who may stop by this site.
As you can see by my pics, many changes have been taking place this last year. My boys have been growing up on me, darn them. Shawn is 19, soon to be 20, Ray just turned 17. Sarah that you see in the picture is Shawn's girlfriend of 4 years and she is 18.
Last year, after 19 1/2 years of being married, my husband & I got divorced. I was not an easy decision, but none the less, needed to be. Since then, I have owned my very first new car, ran for City Council and won. I work full time and right now I also go to school full time. Shawn has passed his Fire Science 1 & 2 practical along with other certs & awards and is a Voulnteer Firefighter. We are still awaiting his results for his written test. (5-9-08 We just heard. He passed! Yeah!) He will soon start school for EMT. Ray leaves in about 6 weeks for Basic Training for the US Army. He will be going down to FT. Benning, GA H...Expand for more
e is doing Split/OPS So, after Basic, he will come back home, finish his Senior year of High School and then go to AIT.
I look back after being out of school 23 years and I wonder where did the time go? I look at some of you with little ones right now, and I am happy where I am kid wise. I am to the point I am ready for a little "me" time. When the time is right, I will be Grandma. Then I can just spoil the kids and send them home!
What I am going to school for right now is Medical Billing and Coding. So far it is going well. It is still just as exciting getting a 4.0 at 40 something as it was in high school, if not more so. LOL
If anyone would like to reconnect, feel free to drop me a line. I no longer have a husband forbidding it. I would love to hear from you. I do get days off and will be out of school in Oct. It is fun to chat & catch up on old times. Not to mention to continue to look forward to the future.
