How does a Missouri boy end up in Buffalo, New York? When I was working at the University of Missouri Veternary Teaching Hospital, I met my future wife Kim. Island, NY, just upstream from Niagara Falls. We married in Columbia and moved to New York the next week. One of the hardest rust-belt cities, most people are leaving to find work, but we moved here. I do agree with Kim that the summers up here are wonderful and I laugh at everyone when the summer heat gets to 89F and they are just "dying".
