Life Gary Lockhart, Chris Lington, Fred Burner, Mickey Block and I set out one winter's night to have some fun. We were in the top gallery of North Barracks in 1967. Fred Burner got out his Zippo, covered his hand with a handkerchief, spewed a mouthful of Ronsonal lighter fluid into his mouth, then expelled the stream of lighter fluid over his lit Zippo and produced a seven foot blowtorch flame. Mickey Block was also thee and was pictured amazed at the fire-breathing future funeral director. Lockhart and Gary - from Taiwan then pulled a six foot icicle hanging down from the outside eaves and were pictured using it as a jousting lance against Lockhart's chest. Where are the pictures? Anybody's guess. Later on that evening, Fred Burner grabbed me, Chris Morgan (all in the Band Company in Class of '67) arounf the chest in a pre-Heimlich maneuver and I blacked out.
