Christina's Story

I would hope old friends would remember how I accepted everyone for who they were not how much money they had. I always wanted to be a server when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a stupid idea. As it turns out, they were right. I like to exercise, read, listen to music, and watch movies. The wildest thing I ever did in school was probably trip on acid. Not proud of it by no means but we are being honest here right? If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my cell phone, water, and gum to be able to deal with the day-to-day. God is my hero. Wow this will be a long one. Where have I lived? I started off in Montgomery, AL in 1980. My dad was in the military and my parents divorced when I was two so I moved a lot. between 1980 and 1985 I lived in Virginia with my biological mom, Pompano Beach, FL with my maternal grandparents, one other state with my bio mom but I don't know which one, and finally Hawaii. I lived in Honolulu, HI with my dad and step-mom from 1985 to 1992. In 1992 I moved to Millbrook, AL with my dad and step-mom. Talk about a culture shock! My dad and step-mom sent me to live in Pittsburgh, PA while they got divorced in 1993. I then went to live with my dad again in Millbrook until 1995. Fall of 1995 I moved to Prattville, AL with my step-mom who is now my adopted mom. I stayed in Prattville until I turned 18, which was in 1998. I then moved with my high school sweetheart to Hazelhurst, GA until 1999. I then moved into my own place by myself in Douglas, GA. From there I moved back home to Prattville and back to Douglas all in 1999. I stayed there until 2001. In January of 2001 I moved in with my dad and his 3rd wife in Newnan, GA. In December of 2001 I moved to Gainesville, Ga with the father of my first child. From there we moved to Woodstock in June of 2002. In November 2002 we moved to Millbrook, AL. In July 2003 I moved to Prattville by myself. I then moved with th father of my first child back to Millbrook, AL in October 2004. I moved to Auburn Summer of 2007 to finish my Engineering degree, which I had been working on since 2004 while in Millbrook. While there I met my husband, Justin, and we were married in November. In February 2008 we moved to Kentucky as our first duty station. We were then PCSd to Columbus, GA in May 2008 which is where we are now. We should be here for a few years. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Marlaina Warwick, because I don't know what happened to her.. I don't really have any obsessions. I guess my friends would say I am OCD and cleanliness would be close to Godliness to me. Lets see, Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect, tell me about it. My biggest surprise in life was there are actually men out there that treat girls like gold. I found one even if it took kissing a few bad toads. From my son I have learned to be patient and pay close attention to detail. A teacher I would love to see again would be Senora Safora, my high school Spanish teacher, because she never let me get away with anything and had fun at the same time! If I won $100 million, I'd give most of it of it to ...Expand for more
mission work, then spend the rest on a house, two cars and misc needs. To be truly happy I would be right where I am right now doing exactly what I am doing. My current age is 28. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be like my step-mom, she was 28 when I was 12. I did not want to be anything like her. She worked too much and was unhappy all the time.. I was so completely wrong. My first crush turned out to be a tard. Everyone and their mother had a crush on this guy. He was arrogant and when I was finally given the chance to be with him five or six years later I turned it down. Crushes are always that, crushes. Normally they are so fine, LOL, that all other judgment is thrown out the window! My best friend would tell you I'm the best thing that ever happened to her and I would say the same about her, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as genuinely kind. I have clothes in my closet from 10 years ago that I don't wear but I refuse to throw away. I used to be a serious packrat but I have learned to let go. Clothes is the only thing I still pack away. I have more clothes than any one person could ever need. I like to dress clean, neat, matching, and in style but not high fashion. I share my home with my husband Justin, which I find to be the most amazing person on earth. One do-over my goodness how do I choose? I would not have moved to Georgia with my high school sweetheart, stayed at home and went straight to college. The rest of it would be fixed with that one thing. The only crazy part is all of that crap led me to where I am now and I wouldn't trade any of it for that reason. Not only did I learn a lot but i would have never met my husband had I done anything differently. In 10 years, I hope to be wherever the army sends us. I'm going to get there by waiting patiently as the military has taught us, hurry up and wait. I like to take one day at a time. My oldest friend would be Brandie Price. She is my cousin but we have been friends since I was five and she was three. We have grown apart in the last few years because our lives have taken us in different directions but I would still take a bullet for her. What about me would surprise everyone at my high school reunion? Hmm......This is really hard so I guess I would say the only thing I can think of is that I don't hide my hand anymore and I don't give a darn what people think about me. They are insignificant in the game of life! My first job was at Steak Take, where I got paid tips and min wage to deliver steaks. What I remember most about it is delivering when I was 15, getting a flat in Grannie's car, dating my high school sweetheart whose gparents owned steak take, and the best chicken sandwiches, sweet tea, and steaks I have ever had in my life!. A childhood memory I will never forget would be when I was in Hawaii we went to Alabama for Christmas and when we got back Santa had left Christmas for me under the tree in Hawaii. I was convinced from that day forward that there was a Santa. I believed until I was 11 when I found receipts in my mom's purse. I was devastated and embarrassed!
