Christine's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended University of San Francisco for 4 years, where I graduated with a degree in Communications. I then attended Cal Poly, SLO to get a multiple subject teaching credential. I am now a teacher and have been teaching for 17 years, since graduating. I spent 4 years in Ceres, CA teaching 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades living in Modesto. There I met my future husband and moved to San Luis Obispo County to teach with the Templeton Unified School District. I've taught 3rd grade for 4 years and am now teaching 2nd grade. married Phillip Ames in June of 2001. We had our first child in December 2002, Huston Michael Ames. We bought our first home in 2003. Our 2nd child, Kalynn Patricia Ames was born in July 2006. Our family is complete! I guess you could say I was a late bloomer, but I feel secure in my career and ready for family life. My best friend remains Patricia Lynn Tolar, she's the godmother to my son. Family is very important to me. Most of my travels take me on visits to see relatives. I am a San Francisco Giants fan, Sacramento Kings fan and think motherhood is the best thing that's ever happened to me. Life is good, very good!
