Christine's Story
Life
I have 4 children Craig 27, Christopher 25, Kara, 24 and Kyle 20. I divorced my husband of 11 years, 15 years ago and have raised my children alone. He walked out of their lives and has since passed away.
I was a freelance writer but became disabled with Fibromyalgia, so I started a business- Jo's!! Baklava. The best Baklava in this part of the country, so far. It's just local, for now, but hope to be up and running on the web by Jan-Feb. Because of the limitations of Fibromyalgia, I'm going slow, so my body can keep up. I sell in local stores, and to individual customers. I'm just starting to ship, this Christmas Season, and it looks to be a busy time. I love it because I can do it at home, and at my own pace, which is essential because my body shuts down frequently.
I'm blessed with great kids and wonderful friends, so I live a good and happy life. I miss all of you and look forward to hearing from you. Has is it really been over ...Expand for more
25 years?
I'M A GRANDMA. My son oldest son had a daughter on January 25, 2003. Her name is Zoe` and she's beautiful. Life is good.
My youngest moved out last November (06) and I am enjoying living alone for the first time in my life. Kyle's knick name for me is Jo, and he calls my kitchen his jocery store, and my purse is his mank, mom bank.
Workplace
While married, I was a stay home mom, (what I wanted), When I got my divorce, I worked as the saftey director for a local trucking co. But working full time, being on call 24 hours a day, for my drivers, and business trips kept me away from home too often, leaving my children to raise themselves. After 6 months, I resigned and started a free-lance writing buisness of my own. Being there for my children, when they came home from school and when they were in some activity, sports, music, etc. made it all worth it. To me, raising happy children was the most important job I have.
