Christine's Story
Life
I left Savannah in 1957 and have almost no family there now. I often wonder about those I knew in the years 1940 to 1957.
I went to 38th St. School, Richard Arnold Jr. High, and graduated from Savannah High in 1954.
I married Mac, an AF pilot, in 57 We lived mostly on the west coast. In 1970, he retired from the AF and we moved to FL. ( first Quincy, then Tallahassee.) I opened a women's clothing store in Tallahasse in 1970 and eventually had four stores. We sold the business in 1993 and have mostly enjoyed retirement since then.

een. I am always planning the next trip.
My last adventure was to Turkey, where we had lived while Mac was in the AF. We also lived in France and went back there often, when Mac was able to travel.
We have one child and he, like his dad, is an AF pilot. We have two grandchildren.
I am a (small time) published writer. I lean way to the left of my conservative husband and son and mainly write about the world of spirit.
My church is the Episcopal Church, but I would join the Church of the Mystics, if one existed.
The writer in me is curious about the lives of others who grew up in Savannah during the forties and fifties. I do hope some of you will tell me your story.
