Workplace
Since I graduated college I have been lucky to have jobs that kept me in the computer field. While I was attending Umass (2 years), I was working part time during the school year and then full time during the breaks as a Student Supervisor for the Northeast/Sylvan painting crew. During my transition period at GCC (2 years) I was working as a lab monitor for GCC. During my final 2 years at Westfield I had worked 2 different jobs. For about 6 months or so I was working in the recieving dept. for the Caldor Distribution center at Westfield. Then one of my classmates had suggested that I apply for a job at Computer City. me certified as an Apple Technician and began repairing Macs. Once I graduted from Westfield State College, I worked parttime at CompUSA and fulltime at Gill-Montague Regional School District, as a tech support specialist for the Gill, Hillcrest, and Montague Center Elementary schools. In June of '99, the network manager had moved on to another district and I was promoted to his postion. I eventually quit CompUSA. My title at Gill-Montague was Manager of Technical Supports and Networks. Along with managing the network for the district, I also supervised 3 tech support specialits. In July of 2007 I accepted a position of Director of Technology for School Administrative Unit #38 in Swanzey, NH. SAU#38 oversees 3 school districts: Monadnock Regional, Hinsdale, and Winchester School Districts.
