When it is agitated, it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear." --Master Oogway "Music does Cultural Work" "One might think this means that imaginary numbers are just a mathematical game having nothing to do with the real world. From the viewpoint of positivist philosophy, however, one cannot determine what is real. All one can do is find which mathematical models describe the universe we live in. It turns out that a mathematical model involving imaginary time predicts not only effects we have already observed but also effects we have not been able to measure yet nevertheless believe in for other reasons. So what is real and what is imaginary? Is the distinction just in our minds?" -- Stephen Hawking "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit." --Aristotle "Education is an ornament in prosperity and a refuge in adversity" --Aristotle "It is impossible for anyone to begin to learn that which thinks he already knows" --Sir Thomas Blount "Learning without thought is labor lost, thought without learning is perilous" --Confucius". More about Christopher:"Two words: "The Legendary" Not like the rest The three quotes of my life: "If BETTER is possible then GOOD is not enough" "The secret of SUCCESS is found in your DAILY routine" "RESULTS not EXCUSES" Well I'm a Filipino and I take every aspect of my life and...Expand for more
try to live it to the best of my ability just like any stereotypical Asian. Whatever I do, is always to the best of my ability and I always give 100%. People say I have a very professional personality and very mature for someone my age. I can also be very understanding. Despite these qualities I am also very laid back and know how to have a good time. And I am also known to act childish at times but I feel that is very important for maturation in life. Ironic as that sounds, having a child inside of one allows one to see people for who they are and not for what people want one to think of them. Then there's always the fact that people with a "child" in them tend to not take everything seriously and just live and enjoy life day by day. As for me personally, I love to help people regardless of their predisposition. I feel that if one person can try and help people, then I can make the world a better place to live, for at least those people that I help. I also love music, as I play the clarinet. Though I am not a music major, I still make it a priority to be part of a large musical ensemble in college. As band has taught me many important life lessons that will continue to be a shining beacon in my life and my career. I'm now a college student attending the University of Georgia (UGA). Also to which I previously attended Gainesville State College (GSC) for one semester.Though GSC is a community college, it has opened my eyes to the repertoire of the college expectations and level of material to which is mandated on tests. I hope to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Biology from UGA and then eventually move on into Medical School. To which I will aspire to become a Neurosurgeon. ~Here are some wise words about college life and academics:~ "Do not let the quality of teaching of your lectures affect your interest in the subject nor your grades. Despite the good or poor quality of teaching, there is always a certain number of students who still perform well. You must strive to count yourself among those students." "The idea of regularly reviewing notes from the beginning may sound like an insurmountable task which would take forever! However, if you continually study the information, by the time mid-terms approach you would have seen the first lecture so many times that it would take only moments to review it again." "Studying should be an active process to memorize and understand a given set of material. Memorization and comprehension are best achieved by the elaboration of course material, attention, repetition, and practicing retrieval of the information." "Active studying involves reading while continuously questioning yourself. How does this fit in with the "big picture"? How does this relate to what we learned last week? What cues about these words will make it easy to memorize them? What type of question would my professor ask and how would I answer them?"".
