Life Been there, Done that...I have heard this in my travels since graduation but never really knew until I was older that there is always something more to see wherever it is one goes, or whatever it is one does. After leaving New England in 1987 I worked for a couple of years as a explosives technician and upon the closure of my plant decided it was time for overseas adventure. Eventually I became a Chemical weapons inspector (sounds impressive, but all we did was sit around and BS and drink lots of coffee) for the Chemical weapons demil program in Hawaii until 1990 when I was diagnosed with cancer, after much chemotherpy and a bone marrow transplant that gave me an appreciation for living life to it's fullest...I returned to work stopping to travel to the UK, Japan, French polynesia...and most of the Islands in the Pacific for Diving which has become a passion for me. I married for seven years but alas, it was not to be so now I reside in New Orleans and am pursuing a career change by working on my degree in medicine, having experienced the pain of being a patient myself...I have made my money, and now it is time to give something back... I would love to apply empathy to medical treatment of the ill. Until then I am semi-retired other than school and traveling and enjoying my saturdays on the lake. I had a lot of fun in New Orleans up until 2005 when Katrina decided to blow me east to the Tampa Bay area. Fortunately, I was well insured thank you State farm!! I currently counsel and work with Cancer patients at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa and find what I do more rewarding than anything I ever did for big money. Since my reloc...Expand for more
