Christy's Story
Life Story:
We are still living in Dandridge, TN. We live on Douglas Lake. We have a gorgeous view of the lake and the mountains in the background. We are in Big Orange country here. We are keeping the family farm going by raising cows. At the present time, we have about 100. It pretty much takes all of us to help out on the farm in one way or another. Never thought I'd be a farmer. LOL Our children are growing up so fast. Our oldest, Trey, will be 14 in April. He is in the eighth grade and is trying out for track in the spring. He looks a lot like I did at that age. Poor kid! Our daughter, Deni, will be 11 in Aug. She is in the fourth grade. She looks a lot like her Dad. She is an outdoor girl. Loves the farm. Leather store. He's the manager. I am still working as a substitute teacher for our county. I really enjoy working in the schools. The hours are perfect for Mom. I have the weekends and summers off as well as days they are out of school.
All of my family has now moved to Tenn. My Mom moved to Gallatin, TN in 1998, after my Dad passed away in Dec. of 1996. She is now remarried. My brother, Randy and his family, and my sister, Amy and her family, also live in Gallatin, TN. We try to get together as much as possible. We are about four hours away from them. They are all doing well.
I can't believe that the class of '79 will be celebrating our 30th reunion next year. Time sure has gone by quickly. I am looking forward to attending that reunion and hope to see many of you there as well.
