Chuck's Story
Life
Chuck has just married the woman of his dreams, Bridget, whom he has longed for since he was in the third grade with her at Shelton's Bordeaux Elementary. After not seeing her since High School in 1978, Chuck reconnected with Bridget through CLASSMATES.COM in 2002. They were married in December, 2003 in Shelton, WA.
My Hobbies & Interests
Chuck studied studying acting, play production, childrenÂs theatre, and creative dramatics at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. In 1981, Chuck began four years as an actor, technician, prop master, and administrator at the California Young PeopleÂs Theatre/California Theatre Center in Sunnyvale. He developed and originated the role of Branch Rickey in CYPTÂs internationally acclaimed production of Most Valuable Player. In 1985, Chuck co-founded the Riverside Young PeopleÂs Theatre, appearing in over 300 performances all across Riverside and San Bernardino counties. He's studied acting, improvisation, and stage combat in special workshops with American Conservatory Theatre instructors Sydney Walker, Janice Hutchins, J. G. Hertzler, and J. Steven White. He's also studied and performed comedy improvisation at Second City Comedy in Santa Monica, and performed around Southern California with the improv groups Idiot Savant, Citizen X, and The Swinging Johnson Brothers.

aff as Propmaster/Shop Foreman in 1988. He has directed productions of Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Book, Hercules, wrote and directed the 2002 production of Ali Baba, and directed/produced the 2004 production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL for Performance RiversideÂs Family Series. He has also taught creative dramatics for children through Riverside Community CollegeÂs Community Services. Since 1990, Chuck has run Performance RiversideÂs School Outreach Program. Over the past 11 years, close to 200,000 children from throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties and beyond have visited Riverside Community CollegeÂs Landis Auditorium on school field trips to see live theatre. In 2001, the Inland Theatre League honored Chuck Abernathy with a Special Award for Outstanding Work with the School Outreach Program at Riverside Community College/Performance Riverside. He stilll performs onstage occasionally, and has done a number of local TV commercials.
Chuck has a working appreciation for most forms of Science Fiction, comic art, and any comedy that carries an edge.
