Chuck's Story
Life
Graduated IU in 1978, then did VISTA volunteer year in Appalachia; law school degree in 1982, and worked for U.S. GAO before moving to Mississippi to work with the Ms. Band of Choctaw Indians, and later as a civil rights lawyer. Became the executive director of a legal aid agency for the poor.
Left there in 1999 to work with the Methodist church as a lawyer in Washington, D.C., and onto seminary for the M.Div, which I completed...Expand for more
May 12, 2003. Was commissioned a minister in the United Methodist Church in June, 2003, and assigned to an area near Frederick, Md.
I was married on June 21, 2003, and my wife is wonderful! Met her in seminary, and she's a minister too.
We have one dog and two cats.
Future plans-- obtain my doctorate of ministry in pastoral care and ethics, and work for an institution as a chaplain specialist in ethical care of elderly adults.
