after High school I moved to LAS CRUCES went to NMSU......
So blessed now living in apbuquerquem NM. ME AND MY TWO CATS, GOD is good.
l try to make this short it is a bit of a story...... I was 22 years old partying in Juarez mexico with my boyfriend at the time. We had gotten in fight, he was upset because i had lost the last five bucks and he was unable to buy another beer... I don"t know if you have ever been over the border in mexico, but it is not a place to leave a 22 year old white girl who was a bit loaded... all by herself...I wallked back over the border only to find him there waiting for me yelling at me to stop crying and get into the car. To say the least I was a bit up set. I got into the passenger side of the car and this was what I said ....... " I cant believe you were so heartless to leave me standing over there all by my self." . He proceeded to get out of the car telling me he did not need to listen to this and walked until I could not see him any more....I sat there telling my self I really do not need to be driving, You see it was valentines day and freezing cold outside or I probably would have just spent the nignt in my car But, It was freezing cold outside..... I then drove to my aunts house who lived there in El Paso, Texas. Only to find out that My Aunt happened to be out of town, I did not know this at this time....I told my self if I drove slow....... kept windows down ..... radio up loud..... I would be fine. ...I was only forty min from my house which was in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Back then it was very desolate between the two Cities ........ There is a large truck by pass rtght at the tx/nm border. The accident happened just across the highway from there..... This is what I was told anyways. A Trucker came off the bye pass, He probably did not even see me, tapped the left rear of my car i over corrected .... only going 45 miles an hour I ended up in the dirt median skidding side ways.. the car then rolled and I was ejected from the car 60 feet beyond where my car landed I landed on my back...I was Doa when I arrived. After several attempts and bringing me back to life. My family was told I would probably not make it through the night. All injuries were internal. Rupturing my diaphragm my stomach and liver ended up in to lung cavity collapsing both lungs. I was in a coma for one month due to the severe head injury I had ....5 months in hosp........ 15 surgeries later most of my pain is in neck, arms and upper back...... but most people cant even tell I have even been in an accident unless I tell them. live.... I was told that I was the worst injured person to have survived in that hospital up to that date....I was told I would be in a rehab hospital for a year or more. I went there to learn how to live being paralyzed on left side and in a wheel chair.... and I walked out of that place in six weeks and went back to cutting hair just a few months later.... I worked as a hairdresser and a massage therapist for 15 years, then......could not hold arms up in air enough to make a living at doing hair any longer so I needed to find a new carrier. I had then gone back to school, learned to be a medical assistant working for a dr. in Dallas area for 4 years until I could not bend over because of my back pain, could not draw blood or help with surgeries any longer so i needed to quit that job........... so had to have a major back surgery which took two years to recover from....... which in that time i learned about computers............ found out I just wanted to play on them instead of building them..... I then found a sales job selling Water filtration systems to houses..... I was able to do this for two years..... Some days I drove up to a hundred miles or more a day........... I ended up herniating 4 discs in my neck due to the degenerative disc disease I incurred from all the injuries to my neck and back.... ..I worked up until the last ten years, I am on disability now. I can say I am healthier than I have felt in the last ten years............ and looking forward to the next chapter in my life,yes I am truly a miracle and I share that with any one who will listen. lmao......lol whew i told u that was a long story but I have to tell it that way to give u the clear vision of why I am in the position of chronic pain .I definatly have some purpose to still be here and I think that is what I need do, share my miracles dont' you?......I am so blessed, thanking God everyday I am still alive and functioning mentally, physically, and so many other ways. I was told I could and would not ever be able to walk.....Now don't u feel so Special u met an ANGEL :-)) OH yea I also didn't tell you that you also have met"The bionic woman." I was put back together with 19 staples just in abdomen alone lol.............. oh yea........ just lucky i didn't land on face right lmao......it could have been worse?????? ya think? lol
