Cindy's Story
I retired from the NC Administrative Office of the Courts in December 2020 and I'm now loving life in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona.
After graduation from high school I married and had two children, both boys, Cliff and Jeremy, who are grown. I married my second husband, Tommy, in December 1995. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2009 and faced his illness with a positive attitude and continued to live life to the fullest for four years, but on July 19, 2013 he lost his battle. Tommy was an incredible man and he will always be loved and missed.
I worked for 15 years as a paralegal in a law office, but was laid off in May 2009 when the office closed. I was appointed as a Forsyth County Magistrate after that where I worked until last December (2020). ...Expand for more
I decided to follow my dream. I sold my home, bought a truck and travel trailer and traveled across the country for ten months enjoying God's creations. My oldest son and our 2 Australian Cattle Dogs, Soji and Sasha, traveled with me. After visiting so many places, we fell in love with Flagstaff, Arizona where we now live.
I love hiking and photography. Many of my pictures can be found on my photographer page on the Dreamstime website under my user name of swdesertlover or on my Facebook page under Cindy Elswick McCrary.
I'm the proud grandmother of a sweet 5 year old named Archer. He is Grandma's best buddy and is already turning into quite a hiking partner. I enjoy every moment with him!
