Cindy's Story
Life
After university I moved to Burlington and worked for an environmental consulting firm for 9 years. During this time I married a guy I met playing basketball and had a son in 1996. In 1999 the firm I worked for went bankrupt and being pregnant at the time, made the decision to start my own company and had my daughter in August. I still work from home doing remote sensing work and have the opportunity to watch my children grow. Their names are Jestin and Rebecca. I have also taken up the game of golf ...Expand for more
partly because my husband used to be an assistant pro here at the Burlington G&CC where we now play. Currently, I am working on my practice teaching and will be done at the end of April. I will then be eligible to teach full time at the high school level, and of no surprise to some but my two teachables will be geography (this would be the surprise) and Math. It has been interesting sitting in on Calculus classes that I haven't done in 18 years but the surprising thing is that it does come back to you.
