Ross's Story
Life
Hi
More changes in our lives. Last year my wife gave up school bus driving and is now a volunteer driver as I am for our local Outreach Center. This is an organization that provides a number of services and activities for seniors and other people who qualify. We both drive people who can no longer drive or who have lost their license for one reason or another. This keeps us very busy most of the time. Like sometimes four or five trips a day five days a week. Our only compensation is a monthly gas allowance besides a good feeling that we are helping people who otherwise would not be able to get to their doctor, hospital or clinic appointments. Now our big news! We have bought a house and starting in February of 2012 we will finally be living once again in our own home. Still members of the Royal Canadian Legion and enjoying country living even more. At our new home we will see more wild life like deer, fox and wolves. Love walking, snow shoeing, bike riding etc. life could not get any better.Only 15 minutes fr...Expand for more
om where we live now and somewhat more private location. Can't wait! When we move we will be in Green Valley. Oh how life changes. We are now both driving school bus. We enjoy living in our new home since 2012. One of the biggest news events is an addition to our family. In July of this year 2015 we rescued a dog who has become a very big part of our lives. His name is Joey and no one could ever ask for a better behaved and obidient pet who brings so much happiness and love to us. Since Feb. of 2012 we have helped our neighbor across the road capture his cows and one bull about five times. He keeps forgetting to close the gate. Met some very nice people on our road. Early this year unfortunately our neighbor to our left experienced a terrible loss when their home burned. They lost everything including their two dogs. Happy to say right now in December their house is being rebuilt. Still enjoying participating in the Royal Canadian Legion on most week-ends. Hope I can bring you more updates in the next few years.
