Clay's Story
Life
Lots happened in the 8 years since I first filled this out, including Facebook. Let's see... got married right out of college, had 2 red-headed musical kids and adopted another daughter, now divorced and living in SE Minnesota (near Winona), the most beautiful part of MN. I look pretty much the same as in the picture above, though the smile is slightly less cheesy.
High School
Good times in cc skiing, running, OM. Good teacher memories: Dee Steele, Dennis Peterson, Mr. Nynas & Mr. Petrick, library dude, Dave Nelson, Herr Madsen. Lora R, Mike B, Diana I, Dean O, Gina A, Kris H, Jim CC, Tom Licke, Greg & Kris Prig, Bart R, Melissa S, Amelia P, Swiss Miss (Claudia H), Chris Figgins, a bunch more too many to list, I hope everyone's doing great. Quite a few people I should have treated better & wish I had gotten to know better.
College
Wow, some characters and memories spring to mind. I got to know my first wife Cherisa (Broadwater) through an icebreaking event set up by her roommate, Laura.
Raising a glass to absent friends ...Expand for more
with Allison, Dana, Matt, roommate Josh D introducing me to a lot of great music & the least likely student of philosophy & religion -- I miss you man! Won't try to list a ton of other people I hope are doing well.
Memories: Brian J learning to play the bass by night, working on lab stuff late into the morning. Crew club, ski club. Security office, the pottery studio, the Princess Bride, driving to White Castle in the middle of the night.
Skydiving with Russ Durkee and grinning for 2 hours afterward. Working 2-3 jobs & finding out a year later that 70% was supposed to go back for tuition.
Living for the J-term and summer break in the dorms, and R.A.s who didn't kick me out when I was bending the rules.
Best accidental teachers, friends I wish I had treated better: Josh Doane (Dude!), Bonnie Quinn, Debbie Horan, Laura Jones (sending one out over the airways to you, wherever you are) Suzanne A.
Prof. Cynthia Cone, my freshman seminar teacher & advisor, a great person, and Prof. Scott Johnson, both of you expanded my mind.
