Colette's Story

Life It has been a busy summer! My second son, Caleb, got married in July. It was a beautiful wedding. I went back to the grooms room right before the wedding began. There were my three boys...all grown and so handsome. Jeremiah is 25 and recently became a chiropractor. He and his wife, Suzi, have two boys that are 2 and 6 months. Caleb is 23 and works full time in our family business. He married beautiful Hollie. I have known Hollie since she was a baby and it is so neat to see one of my sons marry her!! Jake is 20 and going to college in Tennessee. I hugged and kissed all three of them and told them how proud I am of them. Raising them was my greatest accomplishment by far! They are awesome men!! And now I start a new phase of life. School Who was my biggest crush?? Anyone that knew me will know the answer to that! It is funny how important those relationship...Expand for more
s seem to be when we are young. I am not the same person that I was then and look at what is important in relationships so differently. Now I appreciate integrity and character. I should have concentrated on school instead of boyfriends!!! What teacher inspired me the most? Mr. Parmalee and Miss Palmer for sure. Mr. Parmalee was a wonderful man who took an interest in me as a person. He saw beyond the outward and encouraged me in life. Same with Miss Palmer! They were teachers who did not play favorites. When I taught high school as an adult, I tried hard to do the same. Thank you to both of you. Wonderful people who made a difference in my life. Funniest, happiest and craziest memories in school? Always revolved around my terrific friends! The class of 79 was awesome and we were all good friends. Choir tours, winter snow camp and college trips were great memories.
