Colleen's Story
Life
I am a little bored tonight, so... I have two beautiful children and a large, annoying dog. (She is actually a very good dog.) My son is in fourth grade this year and my daughter started kindergarten. I currently live in the Town of Clayton, west of Neenah. I am my son's Cub Scout den leader this year, and although it is keeping me very busy I enjoy it.
School
Ahh, high school. Glad it is over. I keep in touch with most of the people I want to keep in touch with, and a few that I don't.
College
I went to UW-Madison my freshman year of college, then transferred to and graduated from UW-Oshkosh. I also took a few business classes at UW-Fox Valley. My major in college was Math with a Statistics emphasis, and my minor w...Expand for more
as Operations Research. I did not participate in any clubs, sports, or Greek Life during college. I spent a lot of time in the math tutor lab and the campus daycare. I should have partied more, darnit! I was at the right school for it!
Workplace
I had a hard time finding a job after I graduated from college. I wanted to be an actuary, but after failing the first actuary exam 4 times and watching some actuaries at work, I decided it wasn't for me. Looking back, it is probably a good thing I ended up where I am because if I got the first few jobs I interviewed for I wouldn't have that job anymore! (Mergers, downsizing) I enjoy underwriting and would eventually like to get into a staff underwriting or product development position.
