Connie's Story
I am still single and no kids. I moved fm Pocono Mts to SC in 2014. My career has been Clerical, Admin. Asst. & Secretarial in Philly.. I took singing lessons in Poconos & sang Smokey Robinson!! God is still the Center of my life. I was described as quiet & shy in yearbook - not anymore!!! I'm a lead female vocalist. I'm a self-taught psychologist, teacher & detective. I taught Luisa Gasco to speak better by exaggerating my lip movements. I was honored to be Class Valedictorian after writing 2nd Place Speech. I didn't like Our Senior Prom being a popularity contest w/ the Junior class!!?? I was bullied by some in high school & that didn't stop me!! Some of my goals are still in progress - Praise the Lord!!++ I am no longer Catholic - just Bible, as of 1974. I watch TBN on TV a lot & like Joel Osteen & Joyce Meyer. I haven't met that special guy YET... I was not quiet & shy but friendly n sociable in H.S.(re: Yearbook Committee).
My father used to call me Queenie - more like Princess Diana! I was almost voted May Queen in 8th grade at Holy Family Grade School. I liked that school so much better than St. John The Baptist! My parents couldn't afford to send me to college. Although, many have asked where did I go to college? I did attend Pierce Junior College in 1978 for Advanced Greg Shorthand. I still utilize it. I have been in a lot of psychotherapy, mostly because of a dysfunctional family. I 💕 loved the therapy (self-help.) I have also liked self-assertiveness courses. I took the EST training in 1979, an intense weekend training! I've had many different jobs in many areas. My first & fav was Honeywell in Ft. Washington Industrial Park. I was a Literature Clerk & wore a lot of mini-skirts & platform shoes. When I had to walk thru the factory (also w/ the long hair, full make-up & jewelry), the men went Wild!!!! I received a promotion (not for that) & then ended up quitting. I was on the Bowling & Women's Softball Leagues. They had fantastic Banquets and Christmas Parties!!!
I was also at Holiday Inn, 18th&Market. Ended up dating guy who hired me. They were happy 😊 times of dancing & clubbing. He offered me an engagement ring in 1976 & I turned it down. Now he's an Entrepreneur in Plano, TX. I worked for Kelly Girl & they sent me to Smith, Kline & French & Children's Hospital, amongst other companies. My boss at Children's was the Founder of the Ronald McDonald 🏡🏠🏡 House! I worked at Pa. Dept of Welfare (1990s) in Germantown & No. Phila..I loved my Clerk-Typist job but jealous co-workers tried to get me fired. Instead, I applied for a promotion & got it (God!!!)Then, I was with Unemployment Dept.(Referee's Office) & in 'Olde City Philly - a much better area. I consider myself well-rounded in the Secretarial Field. I am definitely a TRUMP FAN!!!!!! Biden is trying to sell America out to China : Red (,China) Christmas? Banner) on White House - gimme a break!! He's NOT gonna do it!!!+++ I watch FOX News only - not FAKE, only truth in reporting. I once also aspired to become an Attorney, an excellent one at best. Fox News Anchors from Philly are Jesse Watters & Mark ❣️ Levin(Cheltenham HS). Mark was also a classmate with Benjamin Netanyahu(Israel)!!
I have very fond memories of Sr Jane & Sr Kathryn. I also liked Srs Virginia & Bridget. I miss my high school days. I'm very grateful to have attended ADA(also goes w/ the smile!).
I enjoyed Cardinal Dougherty (fav) & LaSalle College dances!! Our dances ???(We tried...) I feel honored for getting 12yrs of Catholic School teaching, which I am still benefitting from. I am grateful for the respect & strong principles that I have attained. Kevin Costner, Clint Eastwood,Barbara Streisand, & Omar Sharif (Funny Girl) & Julia Roberts are some of my favorite actors. I've said goodbye to so-called friends who are not useful & cause stress. I'm not waiting for a response to explain their hurtful behavior. I told that mountain to move away fm me. That season is over - I think more of MYSELF!!! God is in control - not them & $$$. I'll reap my rewards from G O D for getting RID of THAT stress??!!!*** Happy Day, ❣️🌹 Hallelujah.....
When I was working for Welfare, I started telling co-workers "You're messing with the WRONG person." I attribute THAT to many excellent Therapists & To God Be The Glory. No, I'm not exactly the same girl from HS - I'm a lot smarter and stronger. When I worked for Welfare, I was like a State Trooper - I would go in there and shake up the troops!!! The Caseworkers, especially, loved me!! When I was attending ADA, my father 💠 insisted on driving me. That was because of the bad neighborhood & taking 3 buses. How 💕 loving is that!!! I am more like him. He would take us to the Dances too -nobody else offered. My initials are Classmates. com -CMC ( Constance Marie Conroy). Many people have told me "you should write a book". Maybe, I'm practicing now!!! I sang at an Entertainment Center in Poconos & practiced immensely for that. I got a lot of applause & whistles. After all, I reminded them of a female Smokey Robinson!! Teena Marie sang "Ooh 😲 Baby, Baby" & with Smokey sitting on stage right next to her (how 💕 I Wish)!!!!!!! One of my mottos now is "Don't mess with me." I once.wanted to become a TV actress (i. e. Mariska H., Law & Order SVU). I 💕 like the Chicago shows, SWAT, FBI, & , of course, all Law & Order shows. I'll watch American Idol if it's good! is also valuable to me. He has taught me basic & fundamental Bible principles. If you keep 10 Commandments you'll get more of God's blessings, grace, & Divine favor. I try to read the Bible every day & follow its teachings. Its worth it for now & later!!! At oneh point, I dreamed of becoming a Motivational Speaker. it's tried & true (solid information.) So. here I am being & staying in the present moment. That way I don't get depressed OVER the past or anxious about the future 🤣. Pres. Trump will win again - I believe last election was fixed by Dems & social media. The truth always 😊😊 comes out.
I look forward to 2023, I do better in odd numbered years. I'll vote for Republicans, I'm glad they won the House of Representatives. Now I don't trust any Democrats. A lot of them are liars and thieves of the devil. Good always wins out over evil hello 😂. Many people persist in doing evil, not me. I am a leader not a follower, always was. I like dancing with the Stars however now it's not as good. I won't pay to watch it on the Disney channel. Too much almost nudity, not into it. Janet Jones and I reminded me of the movie The Trouble With Angels starring Haley Mills. She said I was the instigator, I thought she was. We were obsessed 😸 with Sr. Kathleen Helbig. We had already found the theme song for The Match Game in Janet's Mothers old records. We used that when we had to do a game for our IPS project. I thought it was hilarious and we got an A. We were total goofballs. Remember Janet left after 10th grade when her family moved to Cocoa, Florida. I had 2 penpals 1 fm England and other fm Australia. That was a lot of fun. I used to like Saturday Night Live when they did the Presidents, Clinton and Bush. Now it's not as good. So funniest show is Greg Gutfeld Fox at 11:00 p.m.. Believe it or not, it's funnier than Johnny Carson! One guy I dated used to call me a fox 🦊 I used to like to date older guys. I was in my thirties and I dated a guy who was in his sixties. That was the extreme case. I usually liked them 4 or 5 yrs. older The last guy I dated was in the Poconos in 2005. That lasted for a couple of weeks. I haven't met anybody here and it's not really a priority. However, it would be nice. I am much more selective now because I've learned a lot more about men. I've been through a lot of predicaments and God got me through them all.
Happy 😊 Valentines Day ❣️ to ADA & Handmaids of the Sacred ❤️ Heart!! It's been a long road but we all got thru victoriously. Much love to our nuns ,,, & teachers, thank you Jesus. Now we're settled, & 😁 ready to go to the next level of growing 😊💗.
My best ADA years were 10th & 12th grades. In 10th, some who got messed up on drugs left - thank you! The others on drugs, I don't know. I enjoyed being on Bowling Team! I enjoyed the Retreats, except for some nonsense from some students. They know who they are (real popular, yea right!). Try very immature childlike brats!! I don't & didn't put up with it. That's why I was so respected by the teachers.
I hate football & 💕 lol baseball! Phillies almost beat Astros. I like Atlanta Braves & their announcer Chip. My Dad took us to Phillies games - wonderful 👍 fun times!!!!
I hope those unruly students grew up & wised up. I'm sure other high schools were worse, but that's no excuse! Good grades didn't matter & they wasted tuition 💰 money??? It's hurting them now & they 💭 thought they were so 🤓 smart 🤓??? $$$ Were they role models for ADA? I don't think so. They thought they were popular & part of the
"in-crowd." I'm glad I was part of the "out-crowd." I'm reaping the benefits in more ways than one!! I didn't realize how much anger I was holding towards some of these "so popular" classmates. Popularity means nothing - Character & Knowledge mean the most. I chose not to be part of the Sister Gloria crew. She didn't like me ,,, & I didn't like her. She catered to her fan club. I looked the other way !! I hated Biology & they weren't gonna cut me up......!!! "So 🧁 🎂 sweet" 💖💖💖💖💖
I was too sweet in HS. I could have confronted the "bullies" more,,, & also reported them. So I learned something new. My true friends were Rorie, Mary, Betty, Sandy, Maryanne L. & Luisa. They were Real !!
I also worked at St. Mary's Home For Children, in Ambler. That's where "The Trouble With Angels" & 😇🙏 😇 it's sequel were filmed!! I ate lunch sitting by the famous Pond !!! I've had many prestigious jobs, which I am very grateful for. Forgot to mention Smith, Kline, & French makers of Pepto-Bismol ("PINK") & had a 👍Gold Handlebar Staircase !! Some of my jobs were as a "Temp", fun & 😊 memorable!*!*! PA State Dept of Health was also as a "Temp."
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! I am half Irish FM my Dad. Thank God for Beer!!! I enjoy it & drink it in moderation. It calms me down & helps me to think positive thoughts.
Throughout the years, people have said I have resembled Dorothy Hamill, Victoria Principal, & Jane Seymour.
I am very saddened by death of my beloved Dr. Charles Stanley. He was my greatest Bible teacher. I had posted a comment on his website & next day I rec'd an email. It stated "I love your comment." FM Andy Lander! He was Coach of Atlanta Bulldogs Women's Basketball Team!!?? WOW....
I am disgusted with FOX News for axing Tucker & Dan Bongino. How stupid-Owner is becoming anti-Trump??? What a loser-he will lose in the end (Communist).
