Connie's Story
Life
My Spouse
Oh man, this is embarrassing. The IHS band director invited me to join the community band he led at Irvine Valley College. This was my senior year at IHS. My spouse was a trumpet player in that band, at IVC.
My Pets
I got a cockatiel shortly after graduating IHS. He is still with us, which is a mixed blessing, because he is terminally annoyed. He can talk a little bit and he has a singing repertoire that includes his own unique takes on the theme from "Bridge on the River Kwai" and "Yankee Doodle".

My Job
I am a Deputy Public Guardian for the County of Orange. I am a conservator for 75 people deemed by the court as incapable of providing for their own food clothing and shelter. My conservatees are all mentally ill and all reside in a variety of facilities ranging from low security board-and-care homes to the state hospital in Norwalk. It is very rewarding work.
College
First went to IVC from '85-'86. Then Cal Poly SLO from January 87 to June 87 but got too lonely for my boyfriend (whom I later married) so I moved home and enrolled at UCR. I loved UCR.
