Connie's Story
College in Portland, OR and then Seward, NB. Post grad at CWU, Ellensburg.
Jobs: law enforcement dispatching, 3 departments; police officer in NB; deputy sheriff in Lewis County, WA;
one-room schoolteacher at Winton, 13 miles west of Leavenworth (15 years);
had a landscape company for 2 years; diagnosed with MS in 1999, disabled since then, mobility problems since Jan. 2006.

Plain. Did a LOT of hiking, horseback riding in the high mountains, cross country skiing, mushroom hunting, berry picking, and fishing.
Met my husband in 1984, he a Seattle firefighter. We finally married in 1991, he retired in 1992.
We sold the cabin near Plain in 2001 when we moved to our present farm up Palisades Rd. We have huge gardens and various fruit trees. Up until 2008 I grew a LOT of market crops, but no more.
MS has totally changed everything.
