Corby's Story
I moved back to the state of Washington in July 2008 after spending five years in Wichita, Kansas. Although I left a great job and some wonderful people behind, I never acclimated to the midwest. The Pacific Northwest is just in my blood. I enjoy skiing in the winter and hiking, sailing, and river rafting during the other seasons. I try to go rafting at least once ...Expand for more
in the spring when the rivers are fuller and wilder. I also enjoy nice quiet walks on the beach, such as they are in the PNW, more rocky than sandy. The islands offer a nice respite in the summer when an occassional Orca can be spotted from the ferry. And, finally, working at the University continues to remind me of those younger days when I, too, was fresh and sassy.
