CoZette's Story

Don't know what ta tell ya, I don't think many people really knew me at all anyway. I had a few friends in school & still only have a few friends today. I alienated most of my ol'pals when I became a drain on society & tried to kill myself with drugs & alcohol. Lucky for me ,that didn't work. Needless to say I struggled out of that lifestyle into a clean & sober one. I have a new life & a new family. Had I not made it through that demoralizing pain, I'd not be here today saying how beautiful my life is today.I've been C&S since Arpil 1, 1996! Thanks to God & the people of A.A. I currently work for the State Of Idaho, who would have guessed! I married a man in Seattle & we moved here to be close to his family & raise our son Jesse. I miss Seattle so much but I do get over to visit my brother, sister,dad & my other 2 kids & 2 grandkids.I am sure ...Expand for more
looking forward to getting back to Washington & maybe looking up some of the friends Ive reconnected with through classmates. One of the story wizard ideas is if I had 1 do-over what would it be & I think it would have been to be, not getting married in 86'.I tried not to, I got drunk that day but not drunk enough & showed up anyway. I did'nt want to disappoint my family & his by calling off at the last minute so I went through with it. I suffered for 13 years. If a person feels unsure scared or manipulated into a marriage don't do it. Its ok to be selfish when it comes to your life. To thine own self be true. It could save your life. I'm sure the suggestions from the story wizard were meant to be uplifting and I'm sorry to have been a bit gloomy but it's my 1 do-over. I may add more some day but I'll leave it at this for now.
