Life
My Job
I am now the Executive Director for the Houston Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation. I oversee recruitment and retention programs at UH, Rice, TSU, TxState, UH-Downtown, UH-Voctoria, HCC, SanJac and HISD. I am still active in TB and malaria drug discovery and I am consulting on several projects leading to the development of a new biotech company. I am also working on developing several research clusters at the University of Houston
My Wife
Has completed medical school, and has her MD!
School
I attended Pittsburg State University and received a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry with a minor in Math and physical science. I then started a Masters in Biology working on Chemokines as anti-HIV drugs. I will finish my thesis in 2006-maybe. I took time off to complete a Masters in Healthcare Administration at Texas A and M University. I am thinking of ...Expand for more

College
I received my BS in Biology and Chemistry in 1998, then went to Graduate school for 1 year and left in 1999. I will finish that Masters in Biology some time in 2006 (maybe). I took time off to complete a Masters in Healthcare Administration. I am now about to start a Ph.D. in Health Policy or Political Science.
Workplace

I left the the Center for Structural Biology in 2005 were I was the Asst. Dir of the TB Structural Genomics Consortium and conducted experiments on novel drugs to fight TB and Malaria.
