Craig (Ziggy)'s Story
Life
I have lived in Newmarket since 84 and really enjoy being close to the country. Now I am no longer close to the country, I'm there. I recently moved into a cedar home 2 short blocks from Lake Simcoe. The dogs and I have already been exploring the off season emptiness of Sibbald pt Prov park right across the road from our home.
I enjoy reading, watching movies and sports and running. Racing from 5km's to marathons and trail running with my dogs through the York Regional forest's and Sibbald pt give me a great natural high and extreme satisfaction of something I never thought I could accomplish or love so much.
My ideal vacations are canoe tripping through Northern Ontario and vacationing throughout North America where we can hike and enjoy nature.
I have worked in the electrical field for most of my career mostly in purchasing and inventory control. Finally, after commuting to the GTA for the past 20 years, I know longer have to travel to Toronto. Not having the hour commute has turned my l...Expand for more
ife around. I now help people working as an addictions counsellor. That is my new calling and passion.
My Pets
I have 2 dogs; Phoebe is a golden retriever born sept 99 and Maggie is a Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) born Jan 2003. Phoebe is a big loveable beast who loves to be hugged even though her golf bag is missing a few clubs. Maggie has the brains and like to keep Phoebe in line while off the leash. Together they love to walk and run with me in the york regional forests and Sibbald Pt park.
Ginger was in our family for 10 years until she passed away in 99.

Our kids
I have one son, Christoper 25 who lives and works in Edmonton as a manager for G4S Securcor. He's a great guy and a real joy to my life.
My memories of the Haig are ones of fun times, rewarding experiences, hard work and a sense of accomplishment. School shows, friends, and the atmosphere at the Haig at that time will remain with me forever. Mr. Carl, Mr. Cringan, and Mr. Reynolds are teachers I had the greatest respect for.
