Craig's Story

Life Hello and welcome to my bio! Well if you don't remember me, I was the nerdy kid that served on the Student Government, could not make any of the top sports teams, but regardless, I did enjoy my time at NDSS!! Go Huskies!!! To my surprise, I am still happily married with two awesome children and living in the lower mainland. There is no place on this earth that is more special than Vancouver. Those of us who grow-up here and have visited other parts of the world surely can appreciate what I mean. My professional career has been interesting to say the least. I have worked at Cominco, Crown Forest, The Premier's Office (Socreds days), Knowledge Network and finally to my present position at the largest School District in British Columbia. I am so luck to have the love of my wife Priscilla for the past 31 years to support me and my children. And our family is even more fortunate that our parents are still with us to enjoy our children's lives as they approach adulthood. I have been blessed with two gifted children. My son was an Academic All-Canadian (Football) who attended university in Nova Scotia and is now teaching and coaching in Alberta. My beautiful daughter was a Provincial All-star in Volleyball and a starter at the same university my son went to. She is now a CA in Alberta as welll. As a father, I can't be more proud of my children athletically and academically. (Their mother can take create for most of that.) Over the last fifteen years, I have been pulled to my faith in our Lord and hopefully my children will one day appreciate the Christian Education that th...Expand for more
ey have experienced throughout their lives. I owe a lot to a very close friend (Fergus) who renewed my belief in Christ. Through a lot of mentoring, he showed me that life is more than personal reward and social standing. It is our contribution to Christ's teaching of humanity that is really important. To quote Mother Teresa, "Words which do not give the light of Christ increase the darkness." Sadly, i have lost both my parents in the last three years and it has been a little tough to not being able to call or talk to them. I am sure those who have lost a parent know what i am talking about. Strangely enough, I still see John Nilsson, Dave Enns and talk to Ray Doll (Oakville, ON) all the time. All three are married. Lost touch with Dan Labine a few years back, as he was back east as well. Facebook has reunioned some of our friendships, it seems to be one of the most positive things about that site. To my other classmates, it was such a pleasure to see so many people at the last reunion and God willing we can all get together again at the next - 40 is just around the corner. Maybe we should have the reunion in Mexico with our spouses.... Don't be shy, we have all gained a few pounds, lost a little hair (my case it is all grey) and added a few crow's feet, but that is part of maturing and aging. That's what life is all about! If anyone wishes to contact me, drop me an email or look me up online. I am always interested to know what happen to people and their families. As well as I like to share news of our classmates, friends we have known. God Bless and Take Care Craig
