In November, 2015, he participated in the 19th Annual Tie Day which raised over $5,000 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. His debut album with Immaculate Records, Exploits In A Modern World, was released in July, 2006. It first hit shelves at Toronto's iconic Sam the Record Man, then HMV before becoming available through stores worldwide. It entered a top 40 chart in Montreal, and Spanish retailer Price Minister reported ratings of the album at 4.5 out of 5 stars.
The song 'Dead Religion' ranked #36 on Amazon UK's Religion Chart and Newart became a featured artist on Star Radio in November, 2007.
The Exploits in a Modern World CD was followed by the Exploits Remixed EP featuring 'Ridicule (Shawn Fetterly Remix)', 'I Would (Johnny Tumper Remix)', and 'Superficial (Club Remix)', plus the bonus track 'I Don't Care (Stanley Bradley Remix)'.

Newart recorded his first album at the age of 12, and has worked in the entertainment industry since. His fundraising efforts have received support from Oprah Winfrey, RuPaul, Carol Burnett, Bob Hope, Alfred Sung and Elizabeth Taylor.
He worked on the sold-out shows Don Juan in Hell, Oscar Wilde’s Salomé, Born Naked: Died Blond, The X-Mas Files, and the New York smash hit B-Average: A Musical About Passing, plus the Jessie Richardson Award-nominated play The Laundry.
Newart served as spokesperson for the UN for the United Nations Development Program and the University of British Columbia's public debates during the 1997 Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Vancouver. He also publicized the Bravo! channel's movie of the month Motifs and Repetitions.
He has appeared on stage and screen, including a starring role as Peter Pan with Ellie Harvie (Morticia Addams from TV's The New Addams Family) as Tinkerbell.

A lifelong fan of pop culture, Newart has taken inspiration from meeting Robin Williams, Kiefer Sutherland, Wayne Gretzky, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, Rosie O'Donnell, Estelle Getty, John Stamos, Margaret Cho, Elvira, Brent Carver (Kiss of the Spider Woman), and Jeff Hyslop (Phantom of the Opera).
His musical inspiration has come from many of the live concerts he's attended including Madonna, Elton John, Tina Turner, Marilyn Manson, Janet Jackson, Sting, Cher, Motley Crue, Sarah McLachlan, Billy Idol, Gwen Stefani, The B-52's, The Cult, Billy Joel, Green Day, Bette Midler, Platinum Blonde, Liza Minelli, Sarah Brightman, Corey Hart, Whitesnake, and Dire Straits.
