Newart recorded his first album at the age of 12, and has worked in the entertainment industry since. His fundraising efforts have received support from Oprah Winfrey, RuPaul, Carol Burnett, Bob Hope, Alfred Sung and Elizabeth Taylor. A lifelong fan of pop culture, Newart has taken inspiration from meeting Robin Williams, Kiefer Sutherland, Wayne Gretzky, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, Rosie O'Donnell, Estelle Getty, John Stamos, Margaret Cho, Elvira, Brent Carver (Kiss of the Spider Woman), and Jeff Hyslop (Phantom of the Opera). His musical inspiration has come from many of the live concerts he's attended including Madonna, Elton John, Tina Turner, Marilyn Manson, Janet Jackson, Sting, Cher, Motley Crue, Sarah McLachlan, Billy Idol, Gwen Stefani, The B-52's, The Cult, Billy Joel, Green Day, Bette Midler, Platinum Blonde, Liza Minelli, Sarah Brightman, Corey Hart, Whitesnake, and Dire Straits.
