Upon being awarded an academic college scholarship she moved to Santa Barbara to attend University of California at Santa Barbara where her oldest brother was practicing law and her younger brother was finishing his education in a Santa Barbara Hope Ranch area private high school. Cynthia also attended finishing school in Gstaad, Switzerland and a private Santa Barbara Business School. Cynthia comes from a family of successful entrepreneurs, lawyers and doctors from the East to West coasts of the USA . Recently nephew Philip Bugay of Santa Barbara, had been a Regent for the University of California. Her former late father-in-law was an attorney owning the law firm of Loughman and Fay in Ventura and his brother, Larry Loughman, was also an attorney and local judge. Cynthia has been a high profile real estate agent in the Ventura and Santa Barbara County area for more than thirty five years and is highly and visibly active in the Arts of Ventura County currently sitting on the Board of Directors of the Ventura County Ballet Company which produces a spring and a winter production.
