Cynthia's Story

Life Hello everyone, Not sure what to say .. After HS went to WSU but that didnt work out so well, tried BCC but felt I was back in HS so I went into the Marine Corps where I spent 4+ yrs there. In 1990 I had my first daughter, Krista, while in and was in S. Cali for the most of my tour. Moved back up to Kirkland, where in 93 I had my second daughter Nicole. In 1996 I got a divorce and in 1997 moved up north to Bellingham where I currently live .. I after completing my degree I now work full time. I have twin boys Andrew and Jeffrey, who were born in Feb, 2000. I completed my AA in Business Admin as well as my BS in Criminal Justice. After the loss of my Mom and older brother, Steve McElroy (83 alumni of JHS) I decided to start playing softball and soccer. Knowing that my brother did all he enjoyed and while he was only 40 1/2 ...Expand for more
he could say he didn't hold back. Returning back to the work force has been a huge change for me however I hope to be able to find that job that will allow me to use my degree more. I would love to hear from anyone. Do you have a hero? Talk about where your inspiration comes from. I have several heros: My older brother, Steve, who taught me after he passed away that we need to enjoy what we have in the here and now. Plus he also taught me that honesty is a must no matter how it could possibly hurt those you love. My Mom, who taught me that you need to be happy with who you are with. She told me before she passed away that she loved my Dad very much and she was so lucky to have had him. Lastly, those who serve or who have served in the U. S. Armed Forces. Without them we would not have the freedoms that we have today.
