D. W.'s Story

What's happening. You may not remember me as being the shy, studious, soft spoken, conformist, who never got into trouble, but that was the real me. After years of self-examination I have determined that all of the psychotic extroverted stunts I pulled in high school were just the desperate pleahs of a thirsty dude crying out for someone to give him free beer! And it certainly worked. Thanks to all of you who contributed to my delinquency!! The list is way too long and distinguished to mention now. After partying with a cast of the usual suspects on graduation, I found myself on a bus to Boise, then an airplane to South Carolina. I spent a couple of days there being given all kinds of free stuff: clothes, boots, shots, and all they wanted in return was all that damn hair. Next thing I know I am unloading at my home away from home for the next 4 years, Ft. Benning Ga. After a few months of soldier training, I was sent up to Ft. Lewis, WA, where I lived for the next 4 years. Well, kinda, I logged a lot of flight time over this period to include trips to the Islands of Guam, Tinian, and Hawaii. Germany, Honduras, Panama, Egypt, and Somolia. Not to mention training in Florida, Georgia, Utah, California, North Carolina and Arkansas. Of all the places I saw, the U.S. is the place for me. After this fun-filled section of my life, I then turned my sights on...Expand for more
obtaining a little college edjumacation. I headed to Stillwater, Oklahoma and enrolled in Oklahoma State University. I definitely enjoyed my time in school. There are only a couple of jobs better than being a college student. Non-stop partying, flexible work hours, and lots of holidays and breaks. If it were'nt for party cash I might still be there. Lucky for me, I wormed my way into a job in convienient store which specialized in selling kegs of beer. Knowing the location of the party was always the first step to being there. Of course it was there at one of the triple keg parties at the old bachelor shack that my girl friend introduced me to my future bride. After a brief courtship I was married and in college. It immediately changed things of course. We moved to a town in between Stillwater and Tulsa where I began working for an Engineering company. As the wife finished school, we both worked and travelled around a bit. After 4 years we had our first child a girl and purchased our first house. 4 years later we upsized the family and upsized houses. We moved into the new house in time for daughter number two. Finally, the manchild arrived a little over a year later and the begating was complete. Unfortunately, after 13 years of wedlock the marriage was all over but the resentment. and as the saying goes freedom isn't free but well worth the cost.
