Dale's Story
Life
Since graduation, I worked at Lake County Hospital and K-Mart (Foods) prior to enlisting in the USAF. I entered active duty on August 2, 1974 at Lackland AFB, TX and was stationed at several stateside bases in Oklahoma, Illinois, Mississippi, Virginia and Louisiana. I also served in Europe, being stationed in Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Germany, as well as serving temporary duty in England, France, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, and The Netherlands. I also did a temporary tour in Saudi Arabia and Grand Cayman in the Caribbean. I have retired from active duty with the Air Force after over 28 1/2 years at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant on January 1, 2003. the Air Force, and have three kids, Dominic, Derrick, and Danielle. I received my Associate Degree with honors and a Bachelor of General Studies degrees, Magna Cum Laude and Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Louisiana Tech University. I also have an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. I am currently an Adjunct Professor at LA Tech University teaching Freshmen thru Senior-level Psychology and Counseling courses. I have been teaching for them since December 2000 and now present all classes on-line since 2008, with an occasional face-to-face class. Starting August 1, 2007, I am a contract Information Technology support for the Base Education office on Barksdale AFB, LA.
