Dale's Story
Well, here's what's happened with me through the years. After graduating, I went to Carnegie Tech for a little more than four years. While there, I met my future wife, Kathleen (Kebby) Bromley, who was a student nurse at South Side Hospital. When I graduated, I was commissioned in the US Army and was an Army Engineer for 20 years. We started at Virginia then traveled to Germany, Virginia again, Missouri, Oklahoma, New York, Germany again, and ended in Virginia for the third time. (We enhanced our time in Missouri with the addition of our two children, Beth and Alan. We have no grandchildren, just grand-cats.) At our last assignment in VA I worked on a number of great construction projects with the US Army Corps of Engineers. Then I retired from the Army I worked for the Corps of Engineers for five years as ...Expand for more
a civilian. I then became a middle school science teacher. I had always wanted to be a science teacher from my time spent in Mr Kimberling's biology class, in which I was inspired to teach. I worked in the Fairfax County, VA school system until 2007 when Kebby decided that the rat race in Northern VA was too much. We built a home in a golf community in North Carolina, where I golf and Kebby works, at least for a while. I myself now do some background actor work in TV and movies made around the Wilmington, NC area. Things like Under the Dome and Sleepy Hollow on TV, and movies like Arthur Newman (i know, you've probably never seen it) or Tammy, The Longest Ride and now The Choice and a movie that might be released named Bolden (or something like that since we don't always know the theatrical release names).
