Damon's Story
Life
Graduated (I guess most of us did that huh)stayed at home for a year before joining the AIR FORCE, lost a few important people in my life, stationed at Barksdale AFB. Louisiana for 4 and a half years worked a few part time jobs McDonalds, Base Bowling Alley as well, met some very nice though not very well rounded young ladies dated a few, loved one lost one let a crazy one go, married one, stationed in Germany for 3 and a half yrs. had a daughter.
In Air Force on Active duty 8 yrs moved back to Louisiana out for 1 yr. back in Reserves(gotta get that retirement) now 16yrs. runnin. Moved to California don't, if you value your current financial situation, ever, ever ever ever move to California
Started college(Bachelors in Business Administration) which I should have stayed my a$$ at home and went to MSU but the things we now know. Marriage ended in California moved back to Louisiana now divorced. Moved to back to Texas with enough life lessons to pass to the next no...Expand for more

That's me now, and as I look at where I was then the one word I can use to describe my life is growth. I think with age you search for perspective like the hows whys and what ifs but even when the answers are not clear you know there is reason to everything.
Worklife:
Did anyone ever think their first job would be their career, I kind a had a clue but if you had of told me fast food would make me part of the person I am today I would've partially agreed. From the moment I signed up for Home Ec. in high school I knew nothin would be right from then on it has been a fight to change what I knew I had potential to do from what I fell into.
I can't say it hasn't been rewarding didn't realize then you can actually make a living attributing to other peoples laziness and high cholesterol count. Now that I am part of the IHOP organization I feel better about what goes out the kitchen and better about my ability to build on the next phase of my career.
