Dan's Story

Dan is from Buckingham, Iowa. Dan's schools include Dysart-Geneseo High School. Dan later attended Loras College (Political Science) . Dan works(ed) at Alpla Inc., Graham Packaging, Solon Feed Mill. One of Dan's favorite quotes is:"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up... It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up... It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you're a gazelle or a lion... When the sun comes up, you'd better be running! Forrest Gump: "That day, for no particular reason, I decided to go for a little run. So I ran to the end of the road. And when I got there,...Expand for more
I thought maybe I'd run to the end of town. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd just run across Greenbow County. And I figured, since I run this far, maybe I'd just run across the great state of Alabama. And that's what I did. I ran clear across Alabama. For no particular reason I just kept on going. I ran clear to the ocean. And when I got there, I figured since I'd gone this far, I might as well turn around, just keep on going. When I got to another ocean, I figured since I'd gone this far, I might as well just turn back keep right on going."". More about Dan:"I run first thing in the morning to guarantee that whatever goes wrong in the day ahead, at least ONE thing has gone right by 6:00 AM!".

My thanks again to Stephanie Kliethermes & Ben Fish for slowing down & helping me survive the last 6 miles!
36 years ago today I married the love of my life...No words can describe the void you have left in my heart & life...Love & miss you Jane!
