My sweetie is a Family Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant who works with a Psychiatrist and has a Family Practice clinic on Sunday, One day a month, for uninsured low income individuals mainly Hispanic. She speaks Spanish fluently. In May of 07 she started her own clinical practice in Psychiatry. Has one employee and a ADHA coach and a Psycologist rent two of her clinic rooms for their patients.
We own a 1/3 acre with a small orchard and garden and I keep that up.
There is much more but I might bore you, so could say more later.
Military
I took time off from college to go to Europe with a friend and didn't go and before I could get back in school I was drafted. The whole business of military...Expand for more
sucks except for the medical training and then when I was trained I spent days following grunts through the fields of Georgia and the Carolinas giving out salt tabs and bandaids which could be done by any non-com instead us using the training in the military hospitals. They say there is my way, the civilian way and the army way. Doesn't make sense. Then there were the times we waited and camped within sight of the barracks; flew around the airfield for two hours: told to keep our heads down on a landing craft; while the army rounded up a band to greet us. Especially I remember arriving in Cam Rhan Bay aboard a WW II troop ship. getting onto a landing craft with the visions of soldiers landing on the beaches of islands and being shot at by the "enemy". After landing, I discovered for 30 miles in every direction were US military personal and defenses. Even after arriving at An Ke the bands were practicing every day. I think to this day too many people think war is just fun and games and not of the consequences of it. After coming home I researched and realized Viet Nam never had to happen with 55.000 young Americans killed and thousands wounded horribly. Have American politicians ever learned their learned the lessons of Viet Nam. I Don't Think So!!!
