Dan's Story
Life
At 53 I feel like I am in as good as shape as I was over 30 years ago. I play in softball leagues 9 months of the year, ride my mountain bike, run , lift weights, do agility drills, hike, and swim. After getting my B.A. degree in Mass Communications from Cal State Univ. - Chico in 78' I went to work for KHSL radio in Chico, then went into Business Mgmt in San Jose, and on to KTVU Ch 2 in Oakland as Weekend Sports Producer. ( Met Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, & many others.) I went on to become an HR Director for a company in San Jose, then for 4 years I was an Event Planner specializing in providing Health & Wellness Fairs for Corporations. For the next 6 years I was the HR Director for the 6 Gold's Gyms in the Santa Clara Valley. Currently I am in Marketing,Design & Sales for Brookside Garden. We install & design waterfalls, streams, ponds & water features for homes in the Bay Area. We were featured on Evening Magaazine. Have been blessed with having many fun career endevors in my life.
As for love life, I am single-almost got married twice. Was in a long relationship with a woman that ended a couple years ago, & am living a quiet bachelor life as a hopeless romantic. Dated many women over the years & have had many wonderful memories. Most of my friends are married, or divorced. Live a quiet life, I don't drink (used to party alot-have ben sober for over 11 years), love the outdoors and work out alot. Am so blessed to have such a great , close fami...Expand for more

Went up to Chico to visit when i was at SRHS as my sister was there. Went to College of Marin for 2 1/2 years, then transfered to Chico in the fall of 1976. In May, 1978 received BA in Mass Communications (Minored in Speech & Drama) It was a beautiful campus & loved my life up there. Studied very hard during the week & waited til the weekends to party. Met alot of great friends at Chico. Dated some foxy gals there. Played intra mural football, softball and volleyball. Worked at both campus radio stations (KCHO and KCSC) Did on air work, sports show, Public Service Announcements, production, documentaries and more. Co-produced an award documentary on dreams. Also was a member of Gamma Delta Iota (GDI- an independant "friority" which was a mixed frat/sorority with over 2/3 of the members as girls; cool!! The professors in the Communications dept were great. Went to school with Joe Fonzi (is at KTVU Ch 2 now), Marty Gonzales(at KRON Ch 4 now), Michael Finney (at KGO Ch 7 now), Laurie Roberts ( at KFOX radio in San Jose now) and many others. I went on to KHSL (CBS affiliate in Radio & TV ) in Chico & onto Ch 2 as Weekend Sports Producer. Later was in Bus. Mgmt, HR & Mkt for companies in San Jose Area. Chico was awesome!
