Dana's Story
A couple years after school my family moved to South Bend,IN. Met my husband in 1988 when he was home on leave when he was stationed in Germany...we got married in 89 in Copenhagen, Denmark and just celebrated our 20th anniversary in Feb. Lived at Ft. Campbell, KY for 7 years and when he got out, ended back in South Bend and have been here for 14 years now. Worked most of my time as a Medical Asst. and in retail. I'm on diability now, been on a waiting list for a kidney/panc...Expand for more
reas transplant for 5 years now and now on dialysis. Now, I just try to keep busy and take advantage of my good days, spend time with family and friends, enjoying watching my neice's, nephews and goddaughters grow up. Watching them makes me realize now how easy we really did have it, though we would never admit it at the time...LOL! I had reconnected with one dear friend from school, hope to find many more. Hard to believe it's been 27 years since high school, it does fly by!
