Dana's Story
Dana Morris-Blake, also known by the pen name of author D. M. Blake, is a native of West Chester, PA and a graduate of Henderson High School. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner and professional registered nurse with a three nursing degrees; Associate, Bache laureate, and Masters Degree in Nursing. She earned her Masters degree in nursing graduate of Wilmington College in New Castle, DE in 2004. She has nearly thirteen years of experience in health care in a variety of fields including: disease management, long term care, geropsychiatrics, medical/surgical nursing, school nursing, family practice, community health, corrections, and nursing management.
She is an author, freelance writer, screenwriter, and editor. She is the Founder & C.E.O. of Naypree Enterprises, a family-owned and operated, multi-faceted organization with six different divisions: publishing, screenworks, talent management, and health care. The fashion and real estate divisions are currently under construction.
She is the immediate past President of the Colorado Council of Black Nurses, Inc. and the Chairperson of the Education Committee. She is an inactive member of the Tau Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. During her tenure with Chi Eta Phi, she has held the officer positions of Historian, Chairperson of Public Relations, Beta Sponsor, and Founder and Chairperson of the Nursing Student Mentoring Program. She is also a member of the Organization of Black Screenwriters in California.
