Daniel's Story
Life
I have gotten married in 2001 to my girlfriend since high school. We have two beautiful girls, the oldest is named Alyssa and she is 12 years old and the youngest is named Olivia and she is 3 years old. We have our third child on the way in a few months. We have two cats named Oliver and Meaghen, and one dog named Griffin. My wife is a nurse at the Saint John Regional Hospital and I am a chef at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. We just bought a house in Millidgeville about three and a half years ago.
College
After High School I attended UNBSJ for two years but in my second year our oldest daughter needed to have two heart opperations. during this time I decided to change what I was going to do as a career. I didn't go back for my third year but instead I entered into The Advanced Training And Services Commercial Cooking Program. men to obtain my red seal. Just a little over two years ago Iobtained my Red Seal, Chef status in Canada and now work exclusively at The Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. This decission to change careers was the best thing I could have done because now I am home with my children no later than five O'clock every night.
Workplace
During highschool I worked part-time at a grocery store and continued working there throughout my stay at UNB. When I was going through cooking school I worked at Cooking 911 on the West Side until it closed. Following that I worked uptown at Mexicali Rosas for a few years as well as Church Street Steakhouse. To expand my knowledge of different types of foods I took a job at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home on the West Side. After this Job I was referred to the Loch Lomond Villa and have been working there ever since.
Military
I have never served in the military in any way and pray that I will never have to.
