Daniel's Story
Life
Hello to all the 73 grads! After HS, I went to the Air Force Academy where I graduated in 77. I met my future wife(Pamela)there and we got married after graduation. We were stationed in California, North Dakota, Texas and finaly Washington, D.C. We have 2 children Jessica - 27, and J.D. - 22. While in the Air Force, I was a bombardier in B-52s, taught Navigator school, and worked in D.C. on arms control treaties. While in D.C., I got to travel all over the former Soviet Union, eastern Europe, and Korea (it was very interesting seeing former targets!). We are now loving life in Colorado (married 31 years, daughter graduating from Loyola U in Chicago, son living and working here in Colorado Springs). My wife is the Executive Director for a non-profit preschool in Monument and I am a Certified Financial Planner (r). You can contact us by looking us up on switchboard dot com. o her greater reward. We had been married 42 years and it was a real strain on us all saying good-bye. My son JD entered the Army and then got out after his hitch since I last visited Classmates. My daughter moved back to Colorado and is living north of Denver working for the VA. I was blessed to meet my new love right here in Monument and we recently got married. Still working (I don't have to lift any heavy boxes so why not?) and fixing up the house. Stop on by it you are out west.
Workplace
My work bio is easy: except for a short stint when I thought I wanted to own a restaurant, I haven't worked a day in my life! The Air Force was a dream come true, but work? I don't think so! I have been in financial services for several years since I "retired" from the Air Force helping people reach their dreams and extremely rewarding - but work? Right after I retired in '94, I thought I wanted to own and run a restaurant, the 90-hour work week changed my mind!
