Daniel's Story
When I was in school, I thought I would like to become an electrical engineer. After graduating, I served a 2 year proselyting Mission for my Church and then got married a short time after.
Georgina and I have been married for 42 years this October(2018). Our children are as follows; Ross, married to a girl from the Phillipines, Irene married with 4 children. Colette married with 4 children. Rayce , Reece married with 1 child and finally Krystal.
I never did become an Electrical Engineer, choosing to build my family rather than a career. In that respect, I started a manufacturing concern with my father after graduation, had a backhoe business and by 1979 I went into the drywall business where I've been ever since.
Since graduation I've learned to play the piano which is still a passion with me to this day. I have Greg Hayes to thank for that. irection. I had many discussion with Linda Pearson during our various classes, about piano's and playing and bought a piano right after graduation. Taking lessons with Betty Allen I went as far as grade 9 conservatory exam achieving honours standing. Subsequently, I have learned to play the organ which I did for my church each Sunday, for 27 years. So what started as a desire to play organ, changed to piano, then organ, but piano is my first love.
Through all these years my dream was to own a grand piano and finally we bought one at Christmas 2007. It is an inexpensive instrument as far as piano's go, but many times better than the clunker I had which I did not play very much the the previous number of years before the new piano .
We had a fabulous 35th year reunion in 2006 and a 40th never happened like many expressed a desire for.
Life has been very good to me and my family and the prospect of the future looks good at this time. I have fond memories of those carefree high school days and would enjoy hearing from those I got to know while in high school.
