Daniel's Story

The greatest event in my life happened in 1981 when I became a born again Christian. I received the forgivness that God gives us in Jesus Christ and came to know that God is not just some vague entity out there or some bully that wants to beat me over the head whenever I did something wrong, but a loving Father that sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for sinners (believe me I qualify as one of those!). I have worked in the accounting field for over 25 years I lived in the bay area until 1999 when I moved to the North State in the Redding Chico Area. My first wife passed away back in 2003 but I am happily remarried and enjoy the outdoors and also being a semi couch potato :) I think the people that remember me from Epiphany would probably see me as the shy kid in the corner that didnt say much In High School I kinda came out of my shell and became sort of the rebel...Expand for more
kid and did alot of the things High School kids did back in the 70's (if you know what I mean). I remember going to the Day on the Green Concerts over at the Oakland Colusium and saw the Eagles, ELO, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Atlanta Rythmn Section. I think I also saw Heart and Sammy Hagar. I am not a rocker these days though more into Christian Music Hymns and such I still listen to the "oldies" which I guess is what the station that the 70's Music is on now. My Memories of the Nuns at Epiphany where that they where either nice women that loved God or bitter women that hated life and the school kids espcially! I remember Father Durkin (sp) would come in on report card day he was a very tall man he would come in with a paddle and look at our report cards that use to scare me to death :) That was back in the days when they could smack you on the hand or the butt.
