Daniel's Story
Life
Lets see when I left FAA in 1973. I left on a three-month trip around the U.S.A by Bus that's right a Bus. This was the most fun you can do if you donÂt mind living in a bus for days on end. After I put some money to live with in 4-cities, around the county. I than I went to Canada for the first part of my journey. I stayed in Montreal for first week, than went to my sister who was in College in Minnesota. I stayed for about 4 days. Than took this long bus ride to Seattle Wa.I stayed a week here and got to see what it was like to live some place that one can fall in love with as I did. Than I went back to Canada for a week. I all most got to Alaska by bus but it was too cold and I just came back to get warm and see more of this part of Canada. Than on to LosAngles to see my Sister Rosemary for two weeks than to the Grand Canyon in Arizona for 2 days that was what I plan but I met a group of Students at the Grand Canyon from France and we just went Crazy for 3 days going around parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico stopping here and there for a day, then moving on until we found a place to sleep for the night or just to stay and have fun with the local people. Boy the things we did. Well that for some other time. Than I on to Houston Texas to see Uncle Fred and my sister Eleena for two more weeks. Than To Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA. Than I got to go to Jamestown Collage in North Dakota for a short (6 months) Class. Than after School I went back to Washington D.C to work for the US Park Police as an Police Aid for the Bicentennial. After 1976, I went to Houston Texas for two years of odd jobs and working with my Uncle Fred. Than I came to Portland OR to work for at odd jobs before I got this job with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers this was the Best job I have ever ...Expand for more
had I work on Mount st. Helens that's right Mount st. Helens(I will have to tell this story sometime). But it only lasted for one year than time came for me to come to Seattle Wa. This is where I have live for the last 23 years.
School
This was the best time in my life going to this school "1969-1973". Taking martial arts, who was the best of us in the class "Me" right? Learning how to become a Man. Seeing people from so many foreign countries, this was a big Deal in 1969-1973. The "Sit In" we had, with so many of us not knowing what will happen next. All the things we want to do because we sat down and wanted to change our life for the better. Finding out that I like Math after all. Mrs. W who ran the place like the Mother she was. To the Class Of "73" for all the great things we have now to look back on. To all that Faa made of Us. May we remember the Ones not here with Love!!
Workplace
What can I say; I got this job working for the US Park Police, this was so much Fun doing all the walking we did at work. Seeing so many people at one time in 1976 for the bicentennial. Knowing that at any moment, the President of the United States of America or Vice-President or the Queen of England or The British Prime Minister or just someone important would be in the area you patrolled and I got to meet them. In addition, being with the men and woman you started with the first weeks of this Job. I got to see parts of the city that I had not seen before and I loved this city. Than I moved to Houston Texas, went to work for Sears and Napa Auto Parts. Than I move to Portland Oregon and I got a gas station job and did odd jobs for two years before I moved to Seattle WA and went to worked for Union Gospel Mission now I do Volunteer work now with Plymouth Housing Group and Harborview Hospital.
