I grew up in Hyde Park, New York. When I was 15, my family moved to Damascus, MD. I finished high school there, graduated from Western Maryland College (now called McDaniel College) with a degree in math and biology, and then earned a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley in mathematics. M...Expand for more
y wife and I are math professors at Hofstra University on Long Island. My research fields are set theory and logic.
We have three kids: Amelia, who spends as much time as possible playing soccer, is in 3rd grade; Jasper, a budding chess player, is in kindergarten; Toby is two.
