daniel's Story
After graduation with an academic diploma I went to the armpit of NYC, the Garment District. From there, I became a switch tender and brakeman for the NY Central RR. I saw my expiration date approaching as a brakeman, but I received a notice for my physical. The Korean War was on. I was 1A. After basic training, a troop train took us to Seattle. From there, we went to Yokohama, Japan and from there to Inchon Korea. I was assigned to the 15th Regt. Company L, 3rd Infantry Division.

or the Si;ver Star. No matter how I fought it, the medal was downgraded to the Bronze Star with a "V" for valor.
After 52 years, I am still happily married and in spite of a quadruple bypass, I am in excellent shape.
Murray Lichtman who was in my senior class and also in Company L was killed by an incoming mortar round.
