The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that naturewill reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”- Galatians 6:7-8++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++After reading this scripture, it made me think. So many times in our lives, people step on us, spit in our face, use us to get ahead and treat us wrong. And in turn, we try to seek revenge and get back at that person, or we hold a grudge, and remain mad and angry at that person. But, this scripture teaches us that all of that is unnecessary. Whatever a person put out will be the same thing they get back. It may not be today or tomorrow, but eventual...Expand for more
ly it will come back on them. We don't have to wish nothing bad for that person (as often times we do), we don't have to curse them or play the 'gotta getcha back' game because God promises that vengeance is His, and He takes care of His children. Also, this scripture should speak to each of us as well. We must remember 'what goes around - comes around'. We cannot degrade others, nor give into the lust of flesh and not expect there to be consequences. God also tells us that we should be slow to anger. We shouldn't blow up on people and react in an ungodly manner because there are consequences. So, in going about in your day, try to remember to be of the spirit. Is it hard? O, most definitely. But the reward is so much sweeter than revenge. React slowly, pray often, and keep God first. In doing these things, your outcome will be better. (Now please note: no sooner than you make a commitment to do this - satan is going to try you... and try you.... and try you again. So beware and be ready)And just think about this: why get your hands dirty when there's already someone else who is willing to do all the dirty work for you? That's God.Have a blessed day!".
